UBUNTU KAFFEINE 2.0.17 TV
What makes it different from the others is its excellent support of digital TV (DVB). The error "mjpeg demux error: cannot peek" could be just a missing video codec supporting package like "gstreamer1-plugins-ugly" or "phonon-vlc" installed media-video/vlc you can search the "Synaptic Package Manager (SPM)" for these and "vlc" packages.Kaffeine-2.0.18git.20230531T022124~afc6c12-1.2.x86_64 RPM Index I am using Kaffeine v2.0.18 which I just installed from a Linux deb file, but I do not have a TV tuner although I would like a good one (USB) that works in Linux. I would remove the Kaffeine Snap package before installing another. I will provide links to current and new Kaffeine Linux deb files below (save and double click to install).
UBUNTU KAFFEINE 2.0.17 INSTALL
I only install and use Snap or Flatpak software packages if there are no alternative software installation options. There are multiple versions of Kaffeine which also depends upon VLC media player packages and which version of Linux Mint you are using. I would also recommend searching the "Synaptic Package Manager (SPM)" for Video for Linux (V4L) packages and installing those and some of which pertain to TV scanning. Your post reads like you have some TV tuner device and want to use the excellent Kaffeine media player to view it? What TV device do you have and how is it connected? Since Kaffeine is a KDE application, you might need to install the "kde-runtime" package which is safe to do in any Linux Mint edition and version. If you run " inxi -Fxzd" and " lsusb" from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.

It would help to know more about your system setup. You are posting and replying to an older post, you probably should have started your own post thread.
